50 Cent No Longer Talking to His Eldest Son

50 Cent isn’t one to shy away from a feud from his Ja Rule stunt buying tickets to his concert only to leave them empty to inserting his opinion in arguments that don’t involve him, 50 Cent’s oldest son has since become a target.

Over the years 50 Cent, real name Curtis James Jackson, has been involved in a back and forth row with his eldest son Marquise Jackson. More recently, when promoting his new book Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter, 50 Cent was asked about his son to which he said “It’s a sad situation…It’s no such thing as success without jealousy without envy or entitlement”. So why are things so bad between the father and son?

Things started back in 1997 when the rapper welcomed Marquis into the world with his long-term girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins. Initially, the 50 Cent and his son were close and the Candy Shop rapper even got a tattoo of his son’s name on his right bicep. However, things hit their first major bump in the road when 50 cent’s oldest son turned 10 and an argument broke out between the rapper and his Tompkins, who claimed an oral agreement had been made that he would give her a $4 million home in Long Island.

After disputing this and going to court after the home was burned 50 Cent claimed the dispute between his ex-partner damaged the relationship with his son, believing that she has been turning him against him. Tompkins hit back over the years by arguing that the father and son relationship was lost due to 50 Cent’s mental abuse towards him. He’s also put on record that he’s paid over $1.36 million in child support but neither his son or mother thought that was enough.

It seems 50 cent’s kids have been an area of conflict for years, including his younger son Sire Jackson. Although he co-parents the 7-year-old with his mother Daphne Joy and posts regular photos with him on Instagram, the two have also had public feuds about child support.

The rapper certainly isn’t one to hold back, but he’ll reconcile with Marquis in the future.
