Bicycle goes 163 MPH!

Cyclists are known for annoying many drivers with their slow pace but Francois Gissy from Alsace reached an incredible 163mph on his bicycle! Gissy built the bicycle himself while the rocket the propelled him to such speed was created by Swiss company Exotic Thermo Engineering.

The rocket uses hydrogen peroxide and its full title is ‘ecological monopropellant motor’. The top speed was recorded using an official GPS tracker which was fitted to the handle bars of the cycle.

So the next time you are in France and decide to take over a cyclist, beware the Francois could take you up on the inside and go straight past you.

2 Chainz Announces Sophomore Album Release Date

Amazon unveil futuristic offices to rival Apple

These new funky globes will be the future offices of Amazon. The internet giant plans to build three 65,000 square feet glass domes in Seattle. The offices will raise some eyebrows with Apple who submitted plans for their headquarters in Silicon Valley.

The domes have been dubbed as ‘biospheres’ as they will be filled with plants too to create a real feeling of being in a micro eco system. The plans which were submitted this week show that the offices will not be your typical office setting. The architects who came up with the idea are NBBJ.
The domes and the office spaces inside them will be spread over 5 floors with shops also on the ground floor but the higher floors reserved for office space. This is not the first proposal by Amazon as the also submitted plans for a skyscraper on the same location.

Apple meanwhile submitted plans for their ‘spaceship’ offices 2 years ago. The futuristic design turned many heads and Apple Campus 2 will be ready in 2016. As you can see from the pictures below, the offices will have a very large area for plant life for the employees to enjoy. The offices will hold a massive 13,000 staff.

The offices will also contain some perks such a gym, auditorium etc. which is what you would expect from such a venture. The complete site is a staggering 2.8 million square foot and the car parking will be contained underground so that the plantation can be contained.

Steve Jobs said his company was ‘growing like a weed’ and added: ‘We do have a shot at building the best office building in the world. I really do think architecture students will come here to see this.’
