Tottenham have agreed to sign striker Emmanuel Adebayor on an undisclosed fee, thought to be in the region of £5 million. The Togolese star will move to White Hart Lane from Manchester City after scoring 18 goals in 37 appearances during his loan spell last season. The 28-year-old will take a pay cut from £170,000-a-week to £100,000-a-week but will be handed a significant signing on fee as a sweetener. He becomes new manager Andre Villas-Boas third signing after defender Jan Vertonghen and Icelandic midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson.
