Luka Modric close to Spanish move to Real Madrid

Luka Modric is close to moving to La Liga, this news comes from one of his best friends and La Liga striker Bilic. Bilic who currently plays for Sporting Gijon said: ‘I’m very good friends with Modric,. He wants to play in the Spanish league. He loves the Premier League but he wants to play in Spain. He’s very close to agreeing a move.’

This revelation comes with news emerging that Spurs are bracing themselves for bid from Spanish giant Real Madrid. Madrid face competition from a host of clubs namely Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United. Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy is looking for bids close to £35 million bit it is expected that with Harry Redknapp gone, many players will have no reason to stay at the club.

Spurs will struggle to keep hold of their main stars with Gareth Bale also looking to secure a move for Champions League football. This could be a very testing time for Spurs in the summer transfer window as it will not be who leaves but also who comes in.
