Harry Redknapp to leave Tottenham Hotspurs

Sources at Skysports are saying the Tottenham Manager Harry Redknapp is set to leave White Hart Lane after nearly 4 years in charge. Sources suggest that the relationship between the club and Harry Redknapp has become some what strained since contract negotiations started.

Redknapp is 65 and he has stated that he would like to be offered a longer deal to stay at Spurs. The contract he is currently on will expire at the end of next season. Sources are saying that it is likely he will leave and a severance package is currently being discussed. The decision will be formally announced on Thursday.

Spurs were riding high in the Premier league up until Redknapp was touted as the favourite for the England managers post. Spurs slumped dramatically and lost third place to arch rivals Arsenal and finished fourth. With Chelsea winning the champions league it meant that even fourth was not good enough for Champions League football.

The early favourite to succeed Redknapp should he leave is Daivd Moyes.
