triple barrelled shotgun
Check out the TRIPLE -BARRELLED shotgun that was so compliacted it was never made again!

We at SMT have never seen a gun like this before. Yes we’ve all seen a double barreled one and in the movies they are always a feature. However  back in 1891 one gun maker came up with the crazy idea of making a triple barreled shotgun.

The gun was made by Scottish makers John Dickson & Son and was recently sold in London for just over £43,000! The gun weights just 7 pounds and was originally made for Scottish aristocrat John Adrian Louis Hope who ordered the gun as he became the first Governor General of Australia.

No more guns like this were ever attempted as it was so complicated to make. Auctioneer Nicholas Holt, said: ‘This is completely unique, the holy grail for any shotgun collector. The gun maker, which still exists in Edinburgh, looked back in their records and found this was the only single 16-bore, round action side by side by side ejector ever made.

‘The mechanism was too complex to make more, but it still works fantastically well today and is capable of shooting three game birds with its three barrels.’
