Artist Dario Gambarini has paid homage to Italian striker Mario Balotelli. The artist used his tractor to make an image of Balotelli in a wheat field and said: ‘I wanted to pay homage to all the Azzuri. But it seemed ideal to reproduce the blonde Mohawk of Balotelli on a field of threshed wheat.’
The artist has completed other works such as Barack Obama and Nelson Mandela. This piece is a massive 2,700 square metres. Gambarini is from Verona and his art if in Castagnaro, so if u are over there, go have a look.
Gambarini normally has the persons face but he decided to change tact and have the back of Balotelli’s head with the Mohawk and the words Italia on the back of the shirt.
