Toyota shows us a ‘sofa on wheels’ along with other futuristic cars

The Beijing motor show took place recently and one of the strangest ideas was Toyota’s i-Real electric vehicle.  It looks almost like an electric wheelchair, but a more funky and futuristic version. This years motor show had over 2,000 companies which were represented by a massive 34 countries.

There were a collection of cars that caught the eye, especially this Volkswagen drop-top, electrically powered car.

There were brands from all over Europe and the West as well as Japanese but Chinese manufacturers also unveiled their cars this time. President Akio Toyoda said: ‘We would like to put smiles on the faces of our Chinese customers with hybrid technology. I want the people of China to be able to experience the beauty of hybrid technology through a hybrid car born in China.’

Former British ar maker MG showed off their new SUV. The company was taken over by SAIC which are a Shanghai based company. Check out their MG Icon car below:
As we reported earlier in the year, Toyota have also unveiled a car that  is almost crossed with an iphone. The Fun V-ii is a car that can change the way it looks it an instant. It is never going to produce this car but Toyota says it’s merely showing what types of technology can be incorporated into their cars.
