Before the game LeBron James said : “It’s going to add a lot. We understand the intensity is going to raise even more,” James said. “I’ve had an opportunity to play a lot of games in that building, but none quite as big as these. This is the Mecca of basketball and it comes with a little more incentive. There’s a lot of history in this building. But we understand what we’re there for.” He lived up to the hype by scoring 32 points but he led the Heat to victory in the final quarter. 17 of the total points scored were in the final quarter. The Heat are now 3-0 up in this series and are looking to wrap the series up in the next game.
The Knicks did however break one record which was the most consecutive games lost in the play offs. Carmelo Anthony made 22 points for the Knicks but it seems they are just destined to go out first round again.
LeBron added after the game: “My mindset was to make plays, make plays for our team to try to help us win down the stretch. I was able to come in and make some plays to help us win.”
