LAkers were looking at a victory with a second half lead but the Thunder turned the game around with a 9-0 run in the last 2 minutes to take the lead and with it the game. Kevin Durant was on 22 points 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
The THunder who are score for fun these days only managed 12 points in the third quarter. This was the chance the Lakers had been waiting for but they didn’t capitalise on it.
OKC coach Scott Brooks: “I’ve been around these guys four years and they won’t quit. When we were down seven they could have hung their heads and we would have probably lost by 12 and gone on to L.A. It’s all about toughness with our guys. That toughness on the defensive end that’s our game. That’s who we are.”
Lakers coach Mike Brown: “Physically both teams brought it. The last two minutes we didn’t do a very good job offensively or defensively. They did what they were supposed to do, get two wins at home. Now we have to do the same.”
