After suffering a shock loss at home to the Nuggets despite Bryant best effort in Game 5 the Lakers had a chance to wrap the series up. Bryant did score 31 points but it was Ty Lawson who stole the show. The Nuggets man scored 32 points for his side as the made light work of LA.
The Nuggets have the momentum after winning three of the last four while the Lakers seem to be struggling to just get over the line. Andrew Bynum was in good form pulling down 16 rebounds but his point scoring was off. It was the third quarter that ultimately decided this game after the Nuggets scored 36 points to the Lakers 23.
With the series tied the next game is at the Staples Center and don’t be surprised to see the Nuggets pull this off.
Lakers coach Mike Brown: “Kobe being dehydrated and all that and sick as a dog, coming out and trying to will us to a win, it’s disappointing to watch him give that type of effort … and we don’t get it from everybody. “Our second- and third-best players are Drew and Pau and the reality is both of those guys got to play better in order for us to win.”
