The Clippers were up 3 – 1 just a few days ago and looking at their first play off series win in years. However the pressure is starting to show and the Grizzlies levelled the series on Friday night with a fight back of their own. Memphis were down by 8 points in the fourth but came back to win it by a 2 point margin. However Memphis coach Lionel Hollins said: “All this means nothing because this is a one-game series, and everyone has a chance to win.”
The Clippers were 76 – 88 up after going on a 10-0 run but the Grizzlies just bounced straight back with a 10 – 0 of their own. Chris Paul had this to say on his teams loss: “It’s tough, but nobody is 100 percent at this time of the season. I tried to suck it up, and so did Blake. We still had an opportunity to win. This is not a one-man team.”
It was Marc Gasol who was the games top scorer with 23 points while an injury in Game 5 to Blake Griffin saw him score 17 points as he didn’t look himself on the court.
