The Celtics regained the advantage on Wednesday night with a convincing victory over the Sixers. Kevin Garnett led from the front with 27 points and 13 rebounds while Rajon Rondo waded in with 14 assists. Paul Pierce was not to be left out of the party either as he made 24 points and 12 rebounds.

Pierce was suffering from an ankle injury but still managed to post some impressive figures. Coach Doc Rivers said: “He just knows how to play basketball. He’s a throwback guy.”
