Worlds Smallest Electric Car!

The Volpe is incredibly just 1 metre wide and 1.5 metres tall. This means it can squeeze into the smallest gaps and could make the nightmare of finding parking spaces a thing of the past. The car can fit into a lift which means if you wanted, you could charge it at your desk! Surely there must be a down side I hear you shout… There is!

The car will only go a maximum of 30mph surprising when you consider who its inventor is. Romano Artioli is the former owner of Bugatti and Lotus. The style of the car has been finished by Zagato who did the limited edition versions of the iconic Aston Martin.       The vice president of Volpe is Isabella Artioli who said: Volpe is for every urban dweller desiring to move around town in style, independently, without losing time in traffic and to look for a parking space. Our founder, Romano Artioli, has long researched new types of clean engine solutions.  It is not only an idea, Volpe is a precious instrument in the service of who lives in the city. It is freedom of movement, without a need to compromise.’

The car can also be driven by people as young as 16 as it is registered as a quadricycle. It will cost in the region of £5,600 and will be launched across Europe in the first quarter of 2013.
