Washington Wizards v Miami Heat – Wizards beat the Heat 86 – 84… Yes you read that right! (video)

The Wizards beat the Miami Heat in their own back yard. The Wizards couldnt win a game for love nor money but they turned up here against one of the NBA title favourites and beat them in their own backyard. The Wizards won the game with just 0.5 second left as Nene layed up a pass for John Wall to score.

The heat did play for most of the game with out Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh & Lebron James as they were rested. Wade did start but left the game 3 minutes in after dislocating his finger.

Cartier Martin scored a game high 22 points for the Wizards with a helping hand from John Wall with 13 points and 13 assists.

Wizards Coach Randy Wittman: “It wasn’t our finest offensive (performance) but we stuck in there. I thought our defense was pretty solid all night. We didn’t collapse when we struggled to score points.”

Miami Coach Erik Spoelstra: “It’s unfortunate that we were unable to find a way to come out with a win at the end because the group really competed and really got after it. They showed a lot of mental toughness and resolve … It’s a shame. You wanted those guys in the locker room to be able to finish it off.”
