The Clippers had already sealed their play off place before the game against the OKC but after strolling through the first half they came alive in the second and put Thunder to the sword. The Clippers scored 43 points in the first half and scored 49 in the second but it was the difference in the OKC scoring that was noticeable.
OKC scored 25 points in the second quarter and managed only 25 points throughout the whole of the second half. Kevin Durant made 24 points but it wasn’t enough.
Chris Paul on making the play-offs : It’s going to be fun and exciting, regardless, when it comes to the West. There’s so much battling and jockeying for position right now. I think, for us, we just want to keep winning games and see how high we can move up the standings.”
Thunder Coach Scott Brooks: “It’s easy, we didn’t make our shots in the second half. Give them credit. They did a good job of defending. They got hot from the 3-point line and we missed some shots and free throws.”
