‘Liquid metal’ could make the iPhone 5 slimmer than ever. The metal that will be used feels like glass and is made up of Nickel, Copper, Ziconium and Titanium. The key think about this metal is that it is light and tough and scratch proof.
The leak of the new metal was broadcast on korean IT News. They said: In the meantime, iPhone5 is likely to take liquid metal, an alloy of zirconium, titanium, nickel, copper and so forth having an outer surface smooth like liquid.’
The design for the iPhone has not yet been finalised and these pictures are courtesy of Cicccarese design who have mocked up a pic of what it could look like. Many Analysts believe with this new technology, the iPhone 5 launch will ultimately be delayed.
