OKC Thunder won this game easily, it wasn’t exactly the hard fought contest many predicted. With Chris Paul and Blake Griffin you know that the Clippers are going to give you a proper game, but it just didn’t happen last night. Thunder were led by Kevin Durant who picked himself up after the bad performance in hprevious game scoring 32 points and 9 rebounds.
Derek Fisher who was signed 2 hours before the game came onto to score 5 points. What a difference a week makes, you think you are going to Houston Rockets, which lets be honest isn’t a step up from the Lakers and then you go to OKC one of the top three form teams in the NBA. Serge Ibaka and Russell Westbrook were on good from scoring 15 & 19 points respectively.
The Clippers top scorer was surprisingly Randy Foye who waded in with 23 points, OKC restricted Griffin to just a mere 7 points! Yes you read that right.. 7 points for Griffin and Chris paul was no better.
Thunder coach Scott Brooks: “Defensively I thought we played good throughout the game. You wanna contest shots and we did that. Serge (Ibaka) and Nick (Collison) did a great job on (Blake Griffin) you just wanna stay between him and the basket. We even made his catches very tough.”
Blake Griffin: “I don’t know what game we’re on now, it’s a whirlwind. Every team has gone through it or is going through it. We’ve got to find a way to do better.”
