Smeet flying like a bird
Amazing video of a man taking off and flying like a bird! (Video)

Jarno Smeets is a dutch engineer who has invented what can only be described as the wings of a bird. Smeets is the first human to fly with out the device being jet or rotor enabled. He uses wings which ‘amplify’ his muscles with the motion sensors from his Nintendo Wii, these transfer motions into motors in the wings.

Many people have suggested the video is fake but Smeets claims it’s all down to his engineering.  There are wireless engines in the arms that let Smeet flap the wings that would normally be too much for a human to conduct that action. The Wii motion sensors ‘sense’ the flapping movements which are in turn helped by an accelerometer from an HTC smartphone.  All these movements are then transferred into Turnigy motors to enable Smeet to move the 200 ft wings

Smeet said: ‘Ever since I was a little boy I have been inspired by pioneers like Otto Lilienthal, Leonardo da Vinci.
