The Blazers started impressively enough but the fight back from the Clippers stunned them. Let me give you the facts, the first quarter ended with Blazers leading by 7 (20-27) points and the also won the second quarter by 4.
Going into the second half they were up by 11 point but Clippers had started their fight back taking the third 20-17. It was as if the Clippers saw blood and went straight for the jugular of the Blazers. Chris Paul was amazingly pointless going through the first three-quarters but in the final he scored 13 points to lead his team to victory.
Blake Griffin scored 21 points and 14 rebounds as he took over from a struggling Chris Paul. Chris Paul had this to say on his poor shooting : “I couldn’t make a shot. [The Blazers] were doing a really good job of defending. … I’m still mad I didn’t perform, but in the fourth quarter I was telling the guys that’s where it matters.”
