Yes that’s right, after a long time away, Will Smith is working on his comeback album. In a recent interview with XXL magazine DJ Jazzy Jeff revealed he had spent some studio time with his long-term music partner working on tracks for the new album.
[box_light]“He came down like two weeks ago and was like, ‘Yo, I wanna get back into the studio, and we just knocked out some stuff… I just think more than anything there is no set pattern, no set plan, but we just wanna go into the studio and see what we come out with.”[/box_light]
Jeff went on to talk about Will’s continued love and aspiration of making music, [box_light]“Will has never not wanted to do music,” Jeff shared. “When you’re pretty much the biggest movie star in the world, the movie people don’t want you to do music ’cause you ain’t making $50 million off of making music. From a financial perspective, movies is where it’s at. And it’s not like his heart is not in the movies, but he’s always wanted to do some level of music.”[/box_light]
In other news, Will and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith have become part-owners of the Philadelphia 76ers. The NBA team based in Smith’s home town are currently inactive as there is a league lockout due to revenue sharing disagreements. The takeover was fronted by majority holder and billionaire Joshua Harris who released the following statement:
